For those of us who have been ardent watchers of all things related to space exploration, this video of the Space Shuttle Atlantis doing a 360-degree rotation from the current STS-135 mission is pretty darn cool – beautiful to see!

On April 12, 1961, Yuri Gagarin launched into space and marked the beginning of human exploration beyond this blue-green ball we all live on. In celebration of this milestone, a couple of websites are out there with info:
The latter of those is for a new – and free – full-length film combining footage from Gagarin’s launch with footage taken from the International Space Station.
